Dear Members,
As most of you will be aware, Alpine Ontario will now be collecting registration and payment of dues directly from
members through their online registration system. In the past, you will have each paid your AOA/ACA fees through your club – going forward, instead, you will go to Alpine Ontario’s website and register yourself and/or your family
members for all AOA sanctioned programs for the season.
This will operate much like it has in the past for submitting your waiver – previously you have been required to submit your waiver online through AOA, the waiver will now be built directly in to the registration system.
A global registration system will help the PSO and you, and us, in several ways. With a centralized database of its membership, AOA will be better equipped to not only reach its entire membership but also to better understand the membership as a whole. This will allow AOA to work with the Government and key stakeholders to better define and deliver successful programming, tailor events, attract partnerships, and communicate with each and every one of you. The system will also reduce the drain on administrative resources incurred by each club when collecting these fees, and will allow for a more streamlined and cost effective process. Global registration also allows for reduced transaction costs, thereby decreasing overall costs to you, the membership.
The process is easy, and once you’ve entered your information once, all you need to ever do again is update as
required. The online registration system allows you to register yourself and any family members for any AOA programs all in one transaction. You can even register for special events (like camps) at the same time.
Simply go to AOA’s website, www.alpineontario.ca and click either the big, orange ‘Register’ button on the home page, or navigate to the registration module
From here, you will be asked to provide a ‘Customer Profile’ – this is simply to allow you access to the site (Customers are not necessarily registered participants). Once you have your Customer Profile intact, you will be able to Register yourself and/or any family members for the program/s they intend to participate in for the 2013/14 season (i.e. U14, U21, Coach). You may register as many participants and as many programs as you wish (please note: participants registering for more than one program will automatically receive a full discount per subsequent (non-athletic)program as you are only required to pay your liability and AOA fees one time per year). If you or one of your family members is not participating in an AOA program but wish to be a part of the AOA community and take advantage of the many benefits of membership, they may register as a General Member (note that this program does not cover liability insurance for the registrant).
Once you have selected programs for all participants, click Continue and your fees will be tallied and you will be
taken through the registration process. We accept payment through Visa and Mastercard.
You will be sent an email (you may also indicate at this time if you would like an email to also go to all participants listed) to confirm your transaction. At this stage your registration will be put into ‘Pending’ status until your Club Administrator confirms that you are a member in good standing at the club you have indicated. At this time, the Club Administrator will approve your registration and you will be moved into ‘Registered’ status and will be now eligible and insured for the nominated programs.
You may log in to the system at any time to update your account information, register for more programs, or see
member-only information such as special offers and benefits offered by our many partners. Please remember your log in information as this is critical to keeping the database streamlined and your history on file. If you do forget,
please use the reminder process provided – it will get you back on track in no time.
Thank you for your support in this new and exciting initiative – here is to a terrific season!
